- Kenji Chai (Thailand)- tobyato (Singapore) - Irin Ariyatanaporn (Thailand) For each artist, an “island” was created for them to feature their works, along with a shelf showing off their inspirations and creative tools. Utilizing 3D software, installations, tables and shelvings were designed and planned to be easy to install in a short amount of time while still being able to support the necessary lighting/display In 2011, 675 000 tons of polyurethane foam was abandoned in China from manufacturing*. Its hard to decompose and incinerate nature makes it even more troubling to dispose of. Designed to address the demand for beautiful objects amid a time of environmental awareness, Temperance is a side table that embodies a balance of abstinence and indulgence. Created using rebonded foam, a material derived from recycled scrap foam with different colours that are compressed together, creating a firm and aesthetic contemporary mosaic material. Its mid-section allows for convenient storage of books or magazines. A design movement that aims to oppose hostile architecture benches, creating hacks to give them a positive purpose and raise awareness of the issues caused by such design. A flip up table that can be attached to any tube railing. When not in use, the table can be brought down and flushed against the bench. Its purpose is not to solve the problem of hostile architecture, but to encourage discussion into the issues and ethics of the urban design strategy.&nbsp; Created from epoxy resin, M4/M8 screws and an acrylic surface, the table is easy to construct and due to its transparency, does not obscure the railing when installed.
